The Task
Refurbishment of the flat roofs on this block of flats and adjacent bungalows was made more challenging by snow, and having residents on site throughout the project.
Langley’s comprehensive condition survey revealed a deteriorating stramit deck on the buildings which had become saturated as a result of a failed waterproofing layer.
The Outcome
An innovative oversleeve unit was specified and installed to the windows and rooflight units, so there was no need to disturb residents by going inside the buildings. The materials, design and workmanship of the new roofs are now protected by a Langley 20 year independent insurance backed guarantee.
