Our Solar PV Systems

Designed, supplied and delivered as standard

Overview

At Langley, we believe roofs can do far more than protect buildings, they can shape healthier, more resilient places. As the built environment faces rising climate pressures, smarter roofscapes offer an opportunity to generate clean energy, all within the footprint we already have.

Interest in Solar PV continues to rise across the UK as building owners explore ways to manage energy use, meet sustainability goals and embrace emerging technologies.

Our systems integrate seamlessly with a wide range of roof types, including BioSolar, Living Roof and traditional flat or pitched structures.

Every installation is planned with careful consideration of the building layout, structural requirements and all relevant industry standards.

Our specialist team supports clients through feasibility, design, installation, maintenance and funding routes. Throughout the process, we help organisations navigate their options and ensure each system is specified with a clear focus on safety, durability, compliance and creating solutions that embody For Better Living.

Every Langley Solar PV system is supported by an independent guarantee of up to 25 years, safeguarding performance, reliability and financial protection for the lifetime of the system.

Our design, supply and installation, as a single resource, manages a risk register. It is everything working in one place.

Solar helps to make roofs more resilient, generates more energy and reduces stress, distributing solar costs effectively.

Protection, underpinned by independent insurance-backed guarantees from Langley, supported by monitoring and asset management.

Our installation teams are fully approved and all schemes and developments follow our standards at all times.

We support funding through public/utility funding to unlock or remove the capital return cost in your installation.

Belmont Park School, East London

Belmont Park School sought to reduce their energy costs to help mitigate the rising grid prices, improve sustainability credentials, demonstrate ESG commitments, offset carbon emissions and increase their energy independence.

A 44.29 kWp Solar PV system was installed using Aiko Neostar modules, paired with a SolaX Power X3 ULT 30k inverter to maximise performance and system resilience. The array was installed on the flat roof and pitched roof to maximise year round output. System monitoring is provided through SolaXCloud.

The system generates an estimated 38,563 kWh annually, significantly reducing grid dependence.

Installation required relocation of the solar array from the poor condition flat roof deck to the adjacent pitched roof due to existing roof condition issues and structural load constraints, all while working around live operations. All work was completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
